How oxytocin works for sexual encounters
November 10, 2021Research has established a definite link between paternal health in the pre-conception stage, and the loss of pregnancy after conception. It was calculated that the risk of miscarriage was 27%, compared to 10% for men who had no medical issues. The numbers were adjusted to account for other factors which might impact pregnancy, such as mother’s weight, age or health.
The studies also suggest the sperm of prospective fathers with medical issues, can potentially be contaminated, and affect the growth of a healthy foetus. This is known as the epigenetic factor, which does not affect the DNA, only the quality of the sperm produced.
